    Bios, Windows and Desktop Artifacting

...sigh :'( It's me again. Can never seem to emerge victorious.

So basically I've been using my PC for a few days now until suddenly today while I was playing LOL my screen started glitching and I had to reset. When I did my BIOS logo started artifacting, then the Windows logo also artifacts and then I get to desktop and it's all glitchy and artifacty.

The resolution is also lower like in safe mode.

I'm suspecting my gpu is failing (fml, I literally thought I was out of the woods ready to go).

When I press delete and go into bios menu it's all fine. Any tests I can do to make sure?

I'm going to try another pcie slot and another cable for now.

    Windows 20H2

    Sigh :'(

Artifacts at BIOS and Win loading screen are pretty much pointing to hardware as GPU drivers have not loaded at that point, however things to try are:
A different display (even a TV would be useful) just to rule out the display.
    Different cables.
If you are confident (competent?) you could remove the GPU and check the fans work and that nothing is clogged with dust, thinking overheating here.
Assuming the above lead to no conclusions, stress test the GPU with something like Furmark or Unigene Heaven to see if it falls over or not.
You could try using DDU to remove all drivers and re install a fresh copy (use safemode without any net connection, so download fresh drivers first), although as I said earlier, corruption showing at the BIOS screen pretty much rules out drivers, the fact it works sometimes could simply be due to lower heat levels or an intermittent fault.

A shame your CPU( i7 950) doesn't have integrated graphics, to test if it is the Graphics card or something else

Try select bios boot to wait for 30 seconds and reinstall as UEFI non CSM without can if u can in bios . Try installing Hwinfo and allow low io access and get open ports and try setup Itarian free security in a while the lol hackers may give u system report on crashing league of legends.exe having to reinstall lol cause itarian will most likely kill it

Try pci lock if its not laptop in msconfig.exe it may sometimes disable wireless or HCI of USB support if u have HCI enabled usb in bios or disable but don't do it before hwinfo which should have all checked no exceptions closing no entry

There is a good chance your Video Card is failing. If you can try to replace it, even with a borrowed one, to see if that is the problem, will probably help.

Thanks for the responses all, I'm just going to move onto another system that originally had a gtx 970 and uefi mobo.

I could replace the gpu but better of using a newer system.
