I haven’t used my laptop for a year. It booted up all fine. I am administrator but no option to manually update. I wanted to just restore factory settings but I can’t. Recovery won’t work. Just hangs. I can’t even boot into safe mode. Help !!
Hi, first test the disk. You can do that
a. by removing the disk(s) putting it into a caddy and checking it on another PC
or
b. booting your PC from a live boot disk (iso freely downloadable e.g. Kyhi's, Bob Omb's) and using a program on that live boot disk.
You can clean install Win 10.
Clean Install Windows 10
It should activate automatically.
