Win Explorer Slowing down with Date/Length Columns

    win10 Pro 20h2

Been questioning if there is another way on this "problem", whenever i get to folders with videos it takes quite some time reading every single one checking for its date and length, does it need to check all the files every single time? can't it save the previous one and only update if the file gets changed?

Lenght not that important still helps but date is important otherwise i would simple remove them .

Up to you , You can change the type of folder by right clicking on the folder and choose
properties / customize tab and change to to general items. This will get rid of length.
Or you can try to index the folder which may speed it up a tad.
Right click on date modified and un check date modified from the drop down list.

You can also right click on an empty space and choose view and select icon or tile etc.

    Thank you thomaseg1,

Seems the problem was the length that makes it a lot slower i really had to remove it now its all fixed that and switching to Date modified.

Funny in other programs like XYplorer you don't have any problems with this it's instantaneous no clue why is Explorer working this poorly.
