Taskbar size changes at every bootup, why?

Every time I turn off or restart my W10 P laptop, the taskbar changes from 3 layers back to one. Locking the taskbar does not keep the size I want either. Why does it do this? Thanks.

You haven't got "Automatically hide the taskbar" switched 'On' have you?

Yes, I do use the auto hide feature.

I was wondering if there is a glitch in the auto-hide feature so try switching it off to see if it fixes the issue. You can always switch it back on again if no different.

If it does fix the issue then maybe the next Windows update will fix the glitch.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have tried that already and it did not change anything.
