Task Manager on start-up and minimized to tray

I don't know how that might be used to send it straight to a minimised to SysTray state upon opening.

It may well be that, I may have even originally got it from here years ago (or the eight forums).

Just seen the other posts, yeah using that bat file, launched with task scheduler on login is probably the way to go.

Confirmed on W10 2004 what you said - Task Manager starts minimized with an icon in the taskbar. If I click on the Task Manager taskbar icon, then minimize the Task Manager window, the taskbar icon goes away and Task Manager remains in the tray.

I'm actually okay with it starting unminimized since I like to look at certain things in TM when I first boot up.

Thanks very much dalchina, that works perfectly on my 64 bit machine and is the first solution that has worked for me!

Is it possible for you to create a 32 bit version for my wife's netbook?

Download and unzip the attached source code.
Rt click the ahk file, click 'Compile'.
That should create an exe file in the same folder.

You can then create a shortcut to that with admin rights, or have it launched at startup as admin via the task scheduler for example.
