    @Paul Black,

    Thanks for sharing that procedure but I won't be able to use this method as I don't have the correct ISO file since my current build is an Insider Preview Dev (build 21313)......

    It may be possible- I've not tried. But it won't help if the problem is driver incompatibility...

    Heidoc iso downloader only offers build 21286 as latest.

    So, doing some digging around, I've managed to create an ISO file of my build (21313) using this method :-

    Windows Insider - Get Latest Fast Ring ISO image

    Is it worth trying the In-Place-Upgrade-Repair Install procedure mentioned by @Paul Black or will the result be that the install/repair will leave me with the same drivers causing my issues?

    I really don't want to waste a couple of hours to correct what are, after all, minor irritants rather than life threatening issues..........

    My guess would be it won't help here.

    Brightness: I use a 3rd party utility so pressing a key and scrolling controls it, whilst hovering over the taskbar and scrolling controls volume.

    ....And it it gets worse.

    Just installed build 21318 hoping that it would possibly cure my problem only to find that things got worse.....

    I now can't use my touch screen in any program whilst in full screen mode (maximized) although it works if program is not full screen. Touch screen is totally unresponsive in full screen.

    I'm lost.......

    I would have restored a disk image I'd previously created to restore my Windows partition to a previous good state. Regular disk imaging is recommended time and again here... e.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + external storage for image files.

    I guess you will learn this lesson painfully, and end up clean installing.

    And of course, using Insider builds is a risky decision.
