I get an email from Yahoo.co.uk. look at the Preview of an attachment click on Download and a block indicating a down load is dropping down on the Left of the screen and then disappears behind the task bar I cannot get at the dropped down Button.
Have you looked in your 'Downloads' folder?
Thankyou. WiganKen - Yes going into the Downloads Folder will solve the problem Thanks! Sometimes the dropdown sits above the Task Bar, Other times It is hidden. I haven't really explored it. Billz
I use Google Chrome. and Yahoo.co.uk for emails and Word 2007 for home and students. sometimes I find Bing has too much information and is pushed at me, maybe it is just me. I found edge being pushed at me also.
I had my My version of Windows 10 as listed on Tenforums changed to 2004 (OS Build 19041.630) during a pushed update and now all of the Folders I had pasted on it disapeared, and I cannot paste any folders on my desktop and some of the folders I had pasted just appear as a series of code in my Desktop Folder I have to access an icon called file explorer I have on my task bar, whereas previously I just clicked on the Folder pasted on my desktop screen I have not had time really to sort it out I did take some Screen Prints of them about 60 to 70 of them the subject of an earlier post to TenForums I have wondered if I went back in time would it return as before and the version of Windows return to the original build I had only I dont want to lose any of my documents possibly saved through the previous versions of Windows from 98SE onwards as they must have tortuous paths to access them as I want to search for them and extract them given time to do it.
On my Control Panel this now has System & Security Folder With:
Review your Computer Status.
Save Backup copies Copies of your Files and File History.
Back up & Restore Windows 7. (Why has this appeared)? I had never noticed it before.
I am too scared to touch anything incase I lose anything I may need as I have stored Information that might just help me.

File History backups your personal User files from C:\Users\UserName (ie) Documents, Pictures, Desktop etc, to an external drive of your choice and incrementally backs it up after any changes.
Windows 7 Backup- is creating an Image file of your whole computer that can be restored, if Windows has an issue or won't boot. This was never updated from Windows 7 so, that's why it's there. If doing an Image file, we don't suggest using this, try the Free Macrium Reflect.
File Explorer- Windows Explorer has been renamed and is exactly the same and can be accessed by the yellow folder on the Taskbar. As far as files missing from the Desktop, In File Explorer browse to C:\Users\UserName\Desktop all your files should be there. Unless you had a Local account before and now have signed in with a Microsoft Account, then they would be under that user name profile under the Users directory.
You should always have some form of Backup, we suggest an Image file of your computer saved to an external HDD in case of disaster.
