What does pressing ALT F2 do in Windows 10

    Hi,

In KMPlayer media player pressing ALT F2 should reduce the subtitle's font size, but suddenly my monitor went to sleep and after hitting the space bar I was at the login (password) screen. Could someone please explain what could've happened, as it's got me a little concerned.

    Thanks

Alt-F2 does not doe anything in Windows itself. Your monitor went to sleep due to power and sleep settings:

You were asked for a password due to Sign-in Settings (Require Sign-in):

My monitor doesn't go to sleep while playing a movie in KMPlayer media player, and even when the computer does come out of sleep mode, it never asks for my password, I'm at my desktop screen.

Sound a little like the Lock Screen scenario. Try this. hold the WIN key and press L. See if you get a similar result.
