Go to Bing - Search History and click "Clear all" (at the bottom of the panels on the right).

(Available by clicking the top right "Settings and quick links" menu of Bing home page, then Search history.)

Or go to https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/activity-history and click Search, then Clear activity.

Hi NMI, Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

I tried that. Bing starts recording my history a split second after doing what you suggested. :-(

This would be just one of the many reasons I don't use Bing or Google.

I prefer startpage.com for the privacy and might use Google if I was desperate (ever so rarely)
There are other search utilities that provide some amount of privacy.

Go to Bing - Search History and switch off "Show new searches here" (just above "Clear all").

Go to the Bing homepage and click on Search History. On the right side of the page you will see the Turn off button, this will turn off the search history feature in the Bing Homepage
The Bing Homepage Search History should now be turned off. This setting will remain unless your cookies are cleared. Should you need to clear your cookies, then you will need to repeat these steps again.

Thanks guys. Doesn't that exactly do what it states ? It states it will not SHOW the search history.

    - - - 15 minutes later - - -

Just did a test. It indeed does stop SHOWING the history on that page. But on page https://account.microsoft.com/privac...ry?view=search the history is this present and kep up to date.

Perhaps using InPrivate viewing when using bing in the Edge browser. Shortcut CTL + SHIFT + N
Maybe you can check if your search history shows up on your Microsoft account. I deleted mine.

Thanks. They use a filtered Google version. I know the company. Their office is just down the road. But of course that does not solve my Bing "problem"

Thanks Dekayd. Just tested and you are correct. Inprivate the search history is not updated. In my case I am just interested in the Bing search history. Seems like disabling in normal tabs is not possible.
