Very strange folder behavior. File sorting problem

    Hello,

Here is a video of the problem:

It actually shows 2 problems but I fixed the second one.
Now I'm trying to fix the sorting problem.
    Please help!

Hi, what you're right clicking on in the Nav pane appears to have a different name (unreadable, in 2 parts) to Pictures.

Rt click problems in explorer are typically related to 3rd party added shell extensions. Try disabling all non-MS extensions with Shellexview (free) as a first step.

If you left click that folder in the Nav Pane, what do you see?

I fixed this problem. I said it in my first post.

What's the sorting problem? It's not obvious in the video.

Pictures folder is the default Pictures folder that is created when you install Windows.
It's optimized for pictures and I sort the files by "Date"
When I open the folder you can see that in the first second the items are sorted by name and then the sorting gets switched to Date again.
Is this a normal behavior? I tried to add a column "Date created" and when I sort the files this way - they stay in this position forever.
It's only Sort by Date that's causing the problem.

I'm not sure. How many files are in that folder? (Just wondering if a huge number introduces a sorting delay.)

There are 11 folders and 383 files.

The thing is that when I sort the files by "Date created" they stay in this position forever. The problem occurs when I sort them by "Date" only,

The difference between the two is:
by Date - first folders, then files
by Date created - first files, then folders

EDIT: I checked another folder with less files sorted by "Date" and the problem does not occur, so I guess you are right NMI - by Date depends on the file number, while by Date created - doesn't.
