    Autohide windows notification area

Hello, my computer is always showing all my icons in the notifications area. I had previously set it so it would hide but I think something changed in an update. In gpedit.msc I have enabled "Hide the notification area".

In settings I have turned off "Always show all the icons in the notification area".

What I have on my taskbar:

    What I want:

    Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041.746)

    thanks!

Hi, I would try resetting that policy to default (Not configured).

    Then try
    a. Always show all icons in... -> On
    then
    b. Always show all icons in.. -> Off

    and see if anything changes.

Also for test purposes- to prove this is an issue for your user only or not- create a new user, log in as that user, and report how the notification area behaves.

You might try disabling fast startup and a cold boot.

in your registry (it's not in mine)
