Stuck in "attempting repairs" screen/ can't get into advanced options

    Hello,
I run into a problem where my Win10 Pc crashed in Standby Mode. I started the Pc and had a blue screen, then windows automatical repair started. It could not fix the Problem and I got into the advanced Options screen. Here I selected the repair process again, but It got stuck in the repair screen for several hours. I shut down the Pc and now it always goes into automatic repair. I tried the three times hard reset to get into the advanced options again, but I can not get in there...
    Can anybody help me?
I could not find any solution for this.

Please fill in your system specs in your TenForums profile so we can help you further.System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
Is this a Desktop or a Laptop?
Your HDD may be failing or already failed.
You can remove the HDD from the computer and attach it to a working computer with a USB Adapter, Dock or Enclosure with a power adapter. Download Disk Genius in my signature. Select your HDD and go to the Toolbar to Disk/View or Repair Bad Sectors. This scan will take a while. If all of the boxes are Blue, the HDD is Healthy, If any of the boxes are Amber or RED, no reason to finish the test, the drive needs to be replaced.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have filled in the specs I know! It is a desktop Pc and the Windows Os is installed on a SSD. I also have a second ssd volume and an older hdd. Can I remove the HDD and start the Pc without, to check if this is the Problem? I have to be careful to not lose my Data...

Remove all drives except the SSD with Windows OS on it for troubleshooting.
If your worried about loosing your data, then you should have it backed up already to another drive. You should also have an Image file using Macrium Reflect or your favorite Clone software, of your computer saved on another drive as well. Or face the consequences.

Ok I have the same issue with only my main SSD pluged in. I made a Windows Usb Medium and now I am able to boot from there and reach the troubleshoot options again. I cant do a system reset, uninstall last updates or do the startup repair. So my only option is the comand promt I guess. I read that I could try to deactivate the automatic repair (where my pc is stuck in) or do a BCD Rebuild. Which one would you suggest to try first? Or any other ideas? Will the BCD Rebuild affect personal datas?

Okay short Update: I tried several things to get out of the endless repair screen and I finaly made it! I had to set my Os partition back to C: (I really have no clue why it was renamed to E:) I disabled the automatic recovery and Now when I start up I have this Blue Screen:

What are the status of the important computer files:
    a) files backed up to another drive or the cloud
    b) backed up images saved to another drive or the cloud
    c) no backed up files or images > files need to be saved
    d) no backed up files or images > files do not need to be saved

    Please perform the following steps:

    1) Find 3 or 4 flash drives that you can format (> or = 8 GB)

    2) Make tools that can be used to recover important files, test the drives, and troubleshoot

    3) On a working computer create:

    a) a new bootable windows 10 iso 20H2:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10
    Download Windows 10 ISO File
    Download Windows 10 ISO File
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

    b) bootable Ubuntu flash drive:

    c) a bootable Sea Tools flash drive:

Indicate whether you would prefer to troubleshoot or perform a reset save files equivalent.

    Thanks for your reply!
It is a) I guess because the most important files are not on the drive where windows sits (C:) and when I reset windows I can choose to keep my files which are on C.
I want to troubleshoot because I have lots of programms installed and I really dont want to install them all again. This is my main concern. To be Safe I already recovered some files(in comand promt I used the notepad.exe to reach the file-explorer)
I boot via Usb Windows medium and last thing I did was bootsect /nt60sys

Find a camera or smartphone camera to take pictures and post images into this thread.

For all steps / tests please post images into the thread.

Most operating system and registry problems were able to be fixed using Regback as the last resort.
Automatic regback is no longer available:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/tro...regback-folder

Communicate with Microsoft via the feedback hub to see if this can be restarted in future Widows versions / builds:

To backup files you can use Ubuntu (GUI approach):

Post Sea Tools drive test results.

Once the drive passes run startup repair and indicate whether it does or does not create a srttrail.txt.
If you remember seeing the message then it is not necessary to run the startup repair.
