No preview for WordPerfect docs in File Explorer

Since purchasing new computer (Intel NUC 10) and installing WordPerfect X7 (17.0.0.366), I can no longer view .wpd documents in the preview pane of File Explorer. I have checked all the appropriate settings in Word Perfect that allow .wpd docs to be viewed in Windows Explorer, and on my previous computer, (Dell XPS with Windows 10 installed over Windows 7), the preview pane worked fine for viewing .wpd docs.

I can see the WordPerfect icons in my file tree, but not the preview of the document itself.

I have checked to make sure the iFilter is installed.

My Windows 10 build is 19042.746.

I have the same Win10 Version and Build as yours and WP X8 on my main Desktop, Preview works fine with a .wpd document in File Explorer. If anything unusual was it took a bit longer to show than a .doc file but I don't usually have the Preview pane active. Have you checked the File Association for the .wpd, double-clicking one should open WP automatically.

Thanks. The file associations seem to be OK. I can easily open the WP docs by double clicking. I just can't see them in the preview pane, and because I use both Word and WordPerfect, it's very handy to use Windows File Explorer in preview mode. That's why this problem is so frustrating.

My version is 19041.746, and as with all previous versions of Windows I've never been able to preview Wordperfect X7 .wpd files. @Berton what am I missing?

I did a search for ifilter found 130 instances, how do you know which one applies to WordPerfect?

Have you tried doing a Repair. Windows Key + R / Type Control Panel / Programs and Features / Select WordPerfect X7
Then you can choose whether you would like to repair or uninstall. Choose Repair. Just a guess.

Don't know, do have a copy of X7 may install on a different Notebook later as time allows to check.

I did the repair, still no preview. While doing the repair I was the ifilter installs for both 32 and 64 bit WordPerfect.

I have some old laptops that have Wordperfect X7 installed, the 18362.1139 and 18363.1256, both do not show the preview.

I'm in the process of installing WPX7 for a test. I have WPX8 (On Disc Not Installed) But for the preps of testing, X7.

    ...Update...

Interesting! I finished the install and I got this error. I'll go ahead and reinstall and see what happens.

    ...Update...

It must have been a glitch. Reinstalled and good. I created a test file and I can see the preview. This was installed on "System One" in my specs.
