I right-click the Taskbar, click Taskbar settings, scroll down to Notification area and choose what is desired to show or hide.

As you will see from printscreen attachment, no option for power icon.

Did you scroll down to the Notification area on the right and check the Select which icons show?

What do you get when you press the Start Button (Windows flag) in the lower left corner? What about if you Right click the Start button? Under Notifications, are you in Tablet Mode?

    1. Right click the Taskbar and select Task Manager.
    2. Take the drop down menu and choose More Details. On the Processes tab, look for the Windows Explorer process and select it.
    3. Click the Restart button at the bottom right corner of the Task Manager window.
    4. After the Windows Explorer process has been restarted, check the notification area on the taskbar and see if the battery icon is visible.

Have you tried the suggestions listed on the right side of the screen, Showing the battery icon on the taskbar, yet?

Right Click Start and select Device Manager. Expand batteries, There's two settings; Microsoft AS Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and Microsoft AC Adapter Disable and then Enable the two battery settings one at a time. Right-Click on "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" and select Disable. Now, Right-Click and select Enable. Reboot. If it's still grayed out, Right-click on "Microsoft AC Adapter" and select Disable. Now, Right-Click and select Enable. Reboot again. Let us know.
