Difficulties resuming PC after using Screensaver

    Windows 10, Version 20H2, Build 19042.746
I really like using a collage of photos with my screensaver. Sadly, Window 10 does not allow this option any more, it was part of the old Windows Essential 2012 suite. Being inquisitive, I downloaded Essentials and installed it.

To my surprise, the Photo Gallery and theme Collage was installed and appears to work.

Regrettably, it will not fill the whole screen [I have a Dell Ultrasharp curved monitor] but it is a great improvement from just a series on singular photos.
However, the screensaver doesn’t want to come out of ‘screensaver’ mode! Usually, a touch of the keyboard or mouse brings the PC back to operational mode … but not at the moment. The only way I have managed to get out of the screen saver is the Ctrl, Alt, Del sequence … which is rather drastic.
I could just remove the Essentials suite, but wondered if any of you clever chaps had an alternative recommendation for me.

On my dual monitor setup, 1920x1080-3840x2160, Photo Gallery collage screensaver only shows on the main monitor,

    ... I also have Picasa installed, which will show collage screensaver across all monitors;

moving my mouse escapes screensaver..., maybe check your mouse for wake capabilities.

You also should be able to use esc

Check under the screensaver’s settings for any ‘wake on mouse movement’ option.
I use Live Essentials Photo purely for the screensaver.

    Hello @MoabUtah,

Have a look at the Settings, this may, or may NOT help . . .

Agree I should be able to use the Esc key ... but alas no.
Picasa looks rather interesting, despite being discontinued, I shall give that a whirl also.

Sadly no appropriate setting to adjust.

Google Picasa 3.9.141.259, you'll find it!

Thank you so much. Picasa works like a dream for me. Just had a quick play and it's good. Will have further plays no doubt.

One thing I will mention though, the option to allow the mice to wake the computer does not appear with me. Not that it's an issue as it does!

    Thanks again.
