    IGES & STEP files

Can anyone tell me how to save these files under Win 10. Ver20H2 Build 19042.685

I only have the option to save them as HTML files and no as 3D files.

    Cheers

    What application?

(IGES and STEP are 3D CAD files. As far as I know, they have no relation to Windows.)

Correct they are 3D cad files. They are coming to me through a site that sends the files via Messenger. I need to be able to save these files as you can not directly import them through Freecad.

Can you have them send the files in ZIP archives?

No doesnt work. The problem under windows is you can not save them with the appropriate file extension.
But i have solved the issue. Have the files sent to Dropbox and them import them in to Freecad. Dropbox allows the files to be saved with the correct extension, thus enabling import in to Freecad.

    Windows Messenger? Facebook Messenger?

I've never used either. Using HTML to save a message sounds plausible, but there should be a separate means of saving an attached file. With its original extension.
