I was downloading a file to my USB HDD then suddenly my computer froze..I know that the file I was downloading gets corrupted and I have to download it again...but how about other files on the USB drive ? Do they get corrupted too ?
Welcome to the forum. It shouldn't effect other files but it's still best to run a disk check on the drive
Does it matter when to run the check disk ? Because after it froze I restarted then I completed the download and unplugged the drive without running check disk...then I plugged it back in and ran check disk and no errors were found.. Am I ok ?

pressing the restart button doesn't make a difference....does it ?
That's all you need to know from the Check Disk log.Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems. No further action is required.
