Mouse moves to a spot on the screen and moves around crazy like

So this morning my mouse keeps moving to a place on the screen and then moves around all crazy like and then it shows a little pond]]] like graphic it just did it again just now and the ]]] things appeared when I was typing just now. I use Norton security. I suppose I should run a program like well ? any suggestions on another type of virus program ? SO it just did it again this time it moved to the same spot and moving up and down about 2" about 20 times and then stopped.

So i went to restore my drive c with macrium and the mouse did the same thing. And before I last rebooted in windows the mouse moved up and down and it was causing windows bell to ring. im wonder if this is a hardware issue. I suppose i should unplug all my drives and see if its hardware.

Try a different mouse.

If your running two AV's Uninstall Norton or Disable Defender, your choice, and only run one AV.

I restored my os with macrium thinking it was a some kind of thing on drive c that was able to X A CUTE from C like maybe a root kit or something Who knows the last thing I downloaded was a renamer app but Im not going to say the name of it because I do not want to lend bad press to it. But if in the future a renamer ap happens to cause the same problem with someone else we will know. Could be hardware issue but that acted like a virus. FIrst the mouse moved up and down crazy on teh right side of the screen then it moved to the left side of the screen moved up and down crazy and then it started making my windows bell go off and it even moved explorer around. Frightening. I go to many lengths to protect my data. what ever that was its gone after the macrium restore
