Yes, there is an official fix.
1.Uninstall Nod32 (using their uninstaller or in normal way).
2. Download the latest version from their site.
3. Close Internet.
4. Install antivirus.
5. Open it, press F5 for advanced settings, go to Update and choose pre-release.
6. Open Internet.
7. Update it. Now you will have module 1114.
Module 1113 still blocks some registry. For instance I always delete "Pin to startmenu" -for Recycle Bin- using a context menu editor. With module 1113 it reverts after restart, with module 1114 it remains how I choose it to be.
Eset, it's my pc. Stop telling me what's good for my registry. Just keep an eye open for bugs.
I have v7 installed and it did prompt me to upgrade for compatibility with win 10 but I didn't as everything was fine. So to fix the icon problem I need to upgrade as I'm not getting that upgrade prompt again
