    Hi i cant open it...its say windows cant change register. Maybe its used with system
    could you pls upload the patch which one is worked for you ?
    guys anyone having same problems?
    Download ESET_FolderViewSettingsFix.zip (PROVIDED BY ZASH!) and boot into Safe Mode and use the bat AS ADMIN depending your system.

    the problem still occur..
    this is with safe mode ( the bugs is fixed)

    after that i ran ESET_FolderViewSettingsFix.zip with 64bit version and restart

    this is my dekstop after restart, the icons are arrange by it self.

    irvan, can you confirm that
    a. the registry was /is changed when you apply the fix.
    b. after restarting to normal mode, the registry keys are changed back to what they were before you applied the fix.

    Hi irvan, so to summarise, although you've implemented the fix described here successfully (i.e. registry keys changed as expected) you only have the symptom of the desktop icons moving, not explorer folder view settings changing.

    If so, the cause could be different.

    If so, there are some fixes you could consider, and after that, use freeware to secure your icon positions, or Stardock's Fences.

    I started seeing these same symptoms a few days ago. I am also using ESET (version 6.2.2021.0). I used the fix proposed by vkaraokeand my icons are staying put again, finally. Thank you for the write up and help. +1 Rep
