Event ID: 10016 related to the DCOM app RuntimeBroker

    Hi all,

Recently I've been getting this error when I feel that my mouse and keyboard start to glitch out connecting and disconnecting rapidly. I have noticed this also with my wireless headset when gaming for long periods. Could someone point me in the right direction on how I can fix this? My mouse, keyboad and the headset are all wireless. I also had two flying controls connected to the usb ports. Basically all my I/O USB ports are taken up. If you need more information let me know.

    Thank you

Hi. These DistributedCOM 10016 warnings can be ignored. They used to show as errors but now show as warnings. They have occurred as far back as I can remember and can be safely ignored. I hope this helps.

Oh ok. What could be causing the continuous drops with my USB devices every so often? I'm thinking of getting a powered USB hub to see if it helps with the problem.

Unfortunately your USB issue is beyond my knowledge. I'm sure that someone will be able to give you advice on that issue. Good luck.

If running out of USB ports, you can get a USB PCIe card which would give your more ports and be more reliable then a USB Hub. USB Mass storage devices (ie) USB HDD's, Flash Drives, Camera's etc and USB Wireless Controllers should be plug directly to the Back USB port of a computer and not the Front or thru a Hub as these ports diminish the power and may cause glitching or other issues.

I have one but my system is watercooled in a case with inverted motherboard layout. So right now it won't fit. I ordered a powered usb hub as well as a internal usb 2.0 to rear slot connector(2 ports) to see if i can fit it in. I will plug in the mouse and keyboard directly to the back of the pc. Thanks
