Windows Installer: The product was new configured

Every day at 6.36 h a.m. I read under maintanance that windows installer has reconfigured all applications.
In taskplaner I cannot find any tasks. PC is starting 6 a.m. in the morning.

Someone any idea what is happening or how to stop this?

Hello balloon66 and welcome to TF ,
It seems that your PC is being started every day by automatic maintenance - does that sound correct. You can disable automatic maintenance from waking the PC up.

As far as the specific message you're seeing, can you post a screenshot or provide more details?

    Hello Steve!
I have disabled automatic maintanance. I will see tomorrow morning what is happening and post back.
    Kind regards,
    Uwe

just to clarify, you disabled automatic maintenance from waking up the computer, right? Automatic Maintenance should then run when the PC is next turned on if it needs to run.

Yes, that is right. I only disabled automatic maintenance from waking up the computer.

Try Nir Sofer's small, free and portable TaskSchedulerView.

It shows hidden tasks that the Windows Task Scheduler doesn't, plus you can filter for time.

    Hope this helps...

That will hopefully correct the issue. If not, then you could look at this for further recommendations with regard to Automatic Maintenance . . .

This might also be useful . . .

    I hope this helps.

It's not clear what task you think it is... there's so many that appear to have run at 6:36 am.

What, for example, does the 'mytuning utilities' task do?

You have two issues - what is waking your device at 6:00 am (that's a 'wake' event) and what is the first task that runs at 6:36 am and why.

For the first issue, i.e. determining the cause of the 'wake' event, have a look at this How to Prevent Your Computer From Waking Up Accidentally article.

For the second issue, use Nir Sofer's TaskSchedulerView and sort on the Last Run column so you easily can see the order in which the tasks were run.

To change a task from daily to weekly:

    1. Double-click on the task in Task Scheduler to open it.
    2. Click on the Triggers tab (a).
    3. Click on the 'daily' trigger (b) to select it then click on the Edit... button (c).
    4. Change the option button from Daily to Weekly (d).
    5. Select a day for the task to run (e).
    6. Click on the OK button (f) to effect the change then on the next OK button to close the task.

(PS - In the Windows Task Scheduler, open the View menu and tick the Show Hidden Tasks option. It often makes it easier to see what is happening.)

    Hope this helps...

The computer (Dell xps) is started by Bios at 6 am. 6.36 a.m. must be the maintanance task. But it has no triggers in Taskplaner...
My Tuning Utilities is scanning for updates.
    I am at a loss...
