I can't tell you how many hours of YouTube videos I have watched in my lifetime and I have NEVER had a problem.

    I hope this helps.

OLED Screen Burn-In: How Worried Should You Be?

But I would be more worried about your eyes being damaged, you can not replace those.

It possibly causes damage to your eyesight more than to your screen.

Images can damage some types of screen such as some OLED panels, this is less of a problem than it used to be and anyway was only really an issue when a screen was tuned in to a source that has a fixed bright point such as a channel logo or similar which does not move for long periods, hours or days, as used in surveillance systems where the camera number or similar is constantly displayed in the same place on the screen.

    Hi there
the only damage -- especially on small screens -- that might be done by watching loads of Videos is damage to one's own brain !!!

Avoid overtly bright videos if watching for a long time on Computer screens --TV's are better in that most people usually watch TV's far further away from the screen than when watching Computer screens .

If you do watch on a computer screen at least have your nose further away from the screen than when just using the screen as a computer monitor.

You won't damage the Computer in any way -- the main damage will be "Biological" (i.e your own Brain and optic nerves !!!!!).

    Cheers

Thanks to all that responded. At 83 tomorrow I guess any damage to my brain has long been done. Incidentally I wired tolerids (spl) by hand at Sperry Piedmont in 1961 when core memories were the rage. So my brain is a blur to all the new technology!
