Weird PC Behaviour Since Upgrading to 20H2

I'm having a little problem since upgrading to 20H2. My PC will suddenly go "dark". The screen turns black and the keyboard lights go out and it is totally unresponsive. The case and power lights stay on, but that is it. Almost all USB devices go dark. The only thing I can do is reboot. This has happened four times since upgrading.

I have checked the event viewer and can find nothing. I can see the reboot, but nothing else from the time it went dark.

Reliability Monitor shows an unexpected shutdown and reboot, but no reason why.

Other than a hardware problem or a bad PSU, I can't think of anything other than the Windows upgrade, but checking the known issues doesn't show the problem there either.

Has anyone else had this problem since upgrading?

And does anyone have any advice on troubleshooting the problem? The build is only six months old.

    1. check your power plan for sleep and hibernation
    2. turn off fast startup.
3, goto settings in the search box type screensaver and check to see if it is active.
    4. run sfc /scannow from elevated command prompt.
    4 run Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth if errors found and not fixed.
    then sfc again,

    Gurn,

Reinstall the display driver from the maker's website & update the bios before spending time & effort trying to diagnose this.

Agree with Try3 in going the simple route of drivers before going the exotic route.

Ok. I did the following before I get really crazy:

    1. Updated BIOS
    2. Upgraded chipset drivers
    3. Upgraded my display drivers.

I'm going to leave it a week and if it happens again, I'm going to try thomaseg1's suggestions (though I've done most of them already.)

Thanks guys. Let's see how it goes.

    UPDATE:

It's been a week and so far, no problems. I have a couple of weeks of intense use ahead of me, so I'll leave the thread open for now, but as of now the results look encouraging.
