    Play/pause graphic on screen...

    Wonder if someone on here can help me get rid of this annoying graphic...

    I have some external speakers connected to my PC and have the volume at maximum. I have a DELL keyboard which has a volume control which I use, whenever I adjust the keyboard volume a small graphic appears top left of screen with a vertical slider corresponding to the the volume. Recently, well fairly recently whenever I adjust the volume on the keyboard a second box or graphic appears top left of the screen next to the volume control which has play pause and FF FR buttons.

    I normally use Brave browser and the Brave logo also appears in the graphic. However I have tried Edge and the box still appears. It seems its always there whenever I use the volume control and as its quite big and stays on screen for a few seconds it's a pain.

    I've looked in the speaker/headphone set up and can't find anything obvious.

    Any idea where it comes from - and how I might get rid of it please?

    Since posting the above I have seen mention of WinAero in another posting - is this connected?
    Whilst I have heard of WinAero I have no recollection of installing it on this PC

    @taid

    Check Tutorials https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/, and do a search for this... Enable or Disable Volume and Media Key Handling

    I don't see any instructions for Brave browser, but there are instructions for the others.

    And no, Winaero Tweaker is just a tweaking tool for Windows. That volume/media keys flyout is a browser generated thing.

    Also found this... on three different sites...
    Win 10 volume pop up - Desktop Support - Brave Community

    1. Launch Brave, type brave://flags into the address bar
    2. Search for a flag labeled #hardware-media-key-handling and disable it
    3. Relaunch the browser when prompted and try adjusting the volume as you did before.

    Thanks for your advice - it worked a treat! Not too sure how it also affected Edge - even when Brave was not running though but I gave up trying to understand computers years ago and rely on knowledgeable people like yourself on here!

    I appreceiate your help, Season's Greetings to you,
