    Check policy settings with Policy Plus. That way any should show up.

    1. Set a filter (configured)
    Location - managed by your organization-1.png

    2. Note how the policies shown are only the configured ones (far fewer):

    - which is exactly why I suggested Policy Plus to highlight configured policies. It's not the MS Group Policy Editor.

    I like this idea and thanks for sharing this filter option. I use Policy Plus and forgot about this invaluable feature.

    BTW, I deleted my previous post recommending a clean boot. I decided that any third-party app that has adjusted the registry settings, won't likely reset those settings if not started with Windows.

    Aliskander, have you tried using Policy Plus to identify where these 'Group Policy like' settings are configured?

    Sorry for this delayed response; I was gone for a couple of days.
    and yes I downloaded and ran Policy Plus (which I find a very good tool) but I couldn't resolve my problem.
    no big deal; thanks everyone for your answers; much appreciated.
