Computer Freeze and then Restarts. Repeatedly

    Hi Guys/Girls.

First off English is not my best language im Afrikaans and from south Africa. I Built my wife a computer that she can use in the office. it was fine for years.

So after doing a Gpu Upgrade and also rebuilding the Pc into a new pretty Pink case with Rgb lights etc. i now face random Freeze followed by restart. no error no Beeps Nothing. Computer can stay Idle for as long as 9 Hours at a time, as long as you don't use it :) after you touch or move the mouse it will move then freeze followed by restart. then it will repeatedly startup to desktop few seconds then freeze and restart. until it goes to windows Repair screen or manually shutting it down Via Long Power button Press.

Winver Version 1909 Os Build 18363.1198

    Things i have Tried.

I Replaced memory with new modules. " Single , Dual And Quad Channel" Problem remained.

I replaced the SSD Drive with a brand New SSD. Problem Persists

I replaced the Power supply with a brand new one. Problem Persists

I replaced the GPU with a New 1060. Problem Persists and now i have 2 :)

i changed CPU with a new 1 . Problem Persist.

I Did Run Dism as well as sfc /scannow and chkdsk /f /r
and note it was a fresh install that started with the issues.

only Physical item i did not replace was Motherboard.

Starting in safe Mode with Networking enabled. then i can use the computer to the max. no freeze no shutdown.

While in safe mode i do all the steps necessary for clean boot. Restarts Persist.

I used the V2 Log collector and attached it in my post.

im a average IT tech that usually identifies and solve my issues fast but this one has me down and out for weeks now.

Please assist and if anything else is required please ask.

    Regards
    Frederik

If you haven't already run DISM and SFC. This link has all the info needed to run those commands. Run them from Safe Mode with Networking. I'm sure others will jump in with help. "How to use DISM command tool to repair Windows 10 image"

Being able to operate in Safe Mode suggests the Display Adapter may have a problem.
In the search box, type in---dxdiag--- and check through the pages and on the Display page, note the details for the driver in use visit the maker's site and download a later version of the driver,if available,if not, then the present one.
If possible, use Display Driver Uninstaller [DDU],in Safe Mode to remove the present driver, then re-install the new one.
Before doing this, have a look at Reliability History and see if there are entries relevant to the problem.

    @frederick

I`ll say this, you are thorough, I like that.

But I agree, if you can work in safe mode with no problems, the issue has to be with windows.

Have you reinstalled a number of times and the issue still occurs ?

Hi i have installed several times. how ever a act of desperation lead to me Uninstalling Drivers from the bottom working my way up the list just uninstalling EVERYTHING halfway i got distracted by the kids. when i got back pc prompted it needs to restart in order to finish the process of uninstalling several drivers. after it restarted it did not Freeze/ Restart again. so since last night at around 11:00 PM i started a stress test on the GPU Ram CPu and even virtual Disk Write for ssd stress testing it's currently still running the stress test with no hiccups. so something i uninstalled was the culprit. is there a way of seeing recently uninstalled drivers?

    Regards

Ps. sorry for the lack of paragraph spacing im at work and typing in a hurry :)

Well I`ll say this. Since you uninstalled some drivers and the PC is working great again, start re adding drivers one at a time, and give the PC some time to let you know if that driver is or is not the problem.

That`s about all I can think of right now.

    Hello @Frederik,

Can you please perform the following [ this checks for ANY Problem Device Errors ] . . .

[1] Goto this TenForums link => Batch Scripts / Programs.
[2] Goto the heading Find ANY Problem Devices . . .
[3] Download and Run the .bat file [ Find_ANY_Problem_Devices.bat ].

If there are ANY errors it will create a Prob_Devices.txt file on the Desktop.

    I hope this helps.

    Ok Guys,

So seems like i got happy to fast, as i was installing office, Pc froze and restarted. and did so several times in the last few minutes. No drivers has been added since the successful Stress test i ran for 10+ Hours so something very random is happening. i will Run the Find the Problem batch file and all other probable tools and upload my findings

    Regards
    Frederik
