How to take fullscreen start menu start on all apps screen?

I don't pin stuff to the start menu, I have no use for that. That being said, if I use fullscreen start, it's empty every time I press the start menu, which serves no purpose at all.

To fix this, I'd like to see the "all apps" menu when I press the start button. Can I do that?

    Thanks,
    Marron

The issue I see with Full Screen [not the same as Maximized] is its intent is to remove most toolbars used by programs, those things that interfere with fully seeing items like movies. If pressing the Start button [keyboard] or clicking it [mouse] doesn't give a list of programs something may be amiss. Haven't needed to try it but all or most Tiles can be removed from the resultant screen when using the Start.

You did not understand my question properly, maybe I did a poor job explaining. I'm talking about the full screen start menu, available by turning on "Use Start full screen" in "Start settings".

That's exactly my point, I removed all the tiles, I don't use them. Also, I use full screen start. So now, when I press start, I want to see a list of programs, as the empty list of tiles is just that, empty and it serves no purpose.

If you check yourself, when you turn on "Use Start full screen", when you press start it shows you the list of pinned tiles, and not the list of installed apps.

Is this how you want it to look. Select ``All Apps`` on the top left.

Yes, that's how I want it to look, but as is, I need to select "All Apps" every time I press the start button. I want that screen to be the default, so when I press start (or the windows key on my keyboard) I see the all apps screen, not the useless (for me) empty tiles screen...

I rarely touch the mouse, so to press "All apps" I need to press "Tab", "Down Arrow" twice and then "Enter" which adds up to a lot over time, so having the all apps screen be the default is what I'm looking for.

As fare as I know there is no option to set All Apps as default. I think your stuck having to select that option each time

To the extent of my knowledge, it's not possible, but, you know, the world of Windows is full of registry and group policy hacks, so maybe, maybe, hopefully someone else knows of a solution for this

What you might try is Open-Shell which gives you the Windows 7 start button and the All Programs List.

The Windows 10 start menu has the all programs list by default if it's not the full screen one, so for this case Open-Shell doesn't really solve the issue...

Plus, it takes slightly longer to open the start menu.
