Screen going OFF turns back on immediately after turn off timer 1 time

    hi,

for 1 time, my screen keeps turning back on after the Screen Power Off threshold is reached. This happens one time, then for another 10 mins (or whatever is set to), it goes OFF correctly.

So the screen fades to black and seem to be going to sleep like usual, but turns back on immediately.

I am using the HP G2 Dock, without dock this doesn't seem to happen.

    These are my settings....

And i played around with this as well, but doesn't make any difference:

    Small annoyance.....can it be solved?

    thanks,
    Gabrio

i actually found the problem, so i am using a Logitech Mx3 mouse.... i went to power settings from the Logitech receiver and i found this

by disabling that flag, then goes to power OFF correctly at the first attempt, and even with that OFF i can still wake up the PC with the mouse.... wonder why that happens tho :)

turns out that it doesn't work again - but it's the Logi mouse or the usb receiver because if i turn off the Logi MX3 then it works correctly at first attempt.

    Any other ideas? thank you

In either Powershell or Command, type in---powercfg /lastwake---then Enter and see if this gives any clues.
It would be worth your while checking through the extensive list of commands available in powercfg,if you aren't familiar with it.

Try this with anything that has to do with your network adapter:

Personally, I'd reinstall the display driver in case the problem was caused by any corruption that has developed within it.
    - Go to your computer maker to get it
    - Reinstall it even if it is the same version that you have already. It is the act of reinstallation that resets component registrations etc.

If that does not work then I suggest disconnecting / disabling everything that is non-essential & re-testing then gradually adding things back in the hope of identifying the culprit.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

NO NO NO guys it's the mouse, we have another longer thread and another person found the problem it's the Mx3 Logi Mouse - if you just disconnect the usb stick or switch off the mouse it doesn't happen. however for me workaround is set "Screen Off" to 5 minutes.

there's something happening to the 10m20s mark but Logi support is denying it...

Logi MX3 causes screen going back on after going in Power OFF mode 10 minutes – Logitech Support + Download
