    Sysem Tray icons randomly disappear.

So this only happened recently, and only about four times (within say two months), and it seems random, but some of my System Tray icons by my clock just randomly disappear. I can't figure out why. Like they will all be there like the picture below, but then one day Dropbox and Volume will be gone after signing in from the lock screen. When I leave my PC, and lock it for the day, I don't leave any programs open. They don't go into the overflow either as that was one of the odd ones that disappeared by itself (my graphics and audio icons were the only things in the overflow), and all other icons were there. I do notice on occasion especially when opening Chrome my taskbar icons flash for a second, and once when a program started "Not Responding" I notice some System Tray icons then disappeared. The programs don't end as I can open them, or seem still in Task Manager. Only the icons are gone. I have to sign out, and back in, to have them reload/show. Any idea why?

I'm thinking it my resources being taken up, and the system just runs out of memory, but again when I check Task Manager now and then I average way below any max threshold. Meaning my CPU and memory hardly ever get above 90% use, and I don't see how resources could be so low that icons would disappear.

EDIT - I'm also just thinking now since I'm using StartIsBack to replace my start menu and taskbar that it may be that since I think the issue started happening after one of the updates to StartIsBack a couple months ago.

Those icons are not Quick Launch icons. Quick Launch is an optional toolbar:

This part of the taskbar is called Notification Area or, more commonly, the System Tray.

Corrected. I disabled StartIsBack, so I'll see if it was that. I may just need to rebuild the icon cache if it happens again.

Consider using Open-Shell instead. This free app is IMHO the best legacy start menu.
