    Windows hibernation help

    Hi All
Since updating to the 20h2 update any time i hibernate it hibernates but when it come out of hibernation there is no application that i left open there and it says on the time on go to resume with that The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. this happens when i try to resume from hibernation effectively it's like it loses hibernation and just acts like a clean start up any fixes.

    1) Monitor the computer with reliability monitor:
Reliability Monitor is the Best Windows Troubleshooting Tool You Aren’t Using

    2) Turn off hibernation and widows fast startup

    3) If the computer is stable for several days (no unexpected shutdowns or restarts) then hibernation can be restarted and windows fast startup turned off

    4) If problems are fixed then that will complete the troubleshooting

    5) Run: Tuneup.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

    6) If problems continue logs can be collected

    7)
Open administrative command prompt (ACP) and type or copy and paste:

    Powercfg -h off

    8) When this has completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    9) reboot

    10) To turn hibernation on:
    Powercfg -h on

    11) To turn off windows fast startup:
Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10

Hi Reliable is show good only the unexpected shutdowns which occur when resuming from hibernation which i do not know but only if i see if the app are gone then i check event viewer and it tells me.
As so Tuneup.bat does not work for me happened before saying system cannot find path specified system stable otherwise and sleep works without issue.

Ztruker recently replaced VBScript with PowerShell. Could that be the cause?

How did you try to run it? Please describe exactly what you did. This is what the directions say:

Did you try running it, I did, several times before I replaced it in the repository.

I just re-ran it now and surprise, surprise, it still works.

Edit: The only path in the batch file is %Temp%\CMD.cmd which is where the info menu code is written and executed from.

If that is no good then there are more problems with the computer than a batch file not being able to run.

So you downloaded it to the Desktop. Then you opened File Explorer, navigated to the Desktop and double clicked or right clicked and selected Open on the batch file you downloaded?

If so, please run this Tuneup2.bat: Tuneup2.bat - Place it on the Desktop in place of the one you currently have.

Follow the directions here to capture the output of the Command Prompt window and post here please.

Part Two-OneA - From Command Prompt or Powershell Window

See if I can figure out why it doesn't work for you. I appreciate your help.
