PC waking from sleep because power button was pressed except it wasn't

My PC sometimes wakes from sleep, sometimes seconds after being put to sleep without me doing anything. I got the following information from the PowerShell:

    Code:
    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> powercfg -lastwake
    Wake History Count - 1
    Wake History [0]
      Wake Source Count - 1
      Wake Source [0]
        Type: Fixed Feature
        Power Button
Is it telling me that Windows thinks the power button was pressed? Because I certainly didn't (I was the only person in the room when it happened). Could some kind of electrical interference be getting detected by the motherboard through the power button wiring, causing the PC to wake? It's kind of annoying.

I would check the wiring between the button and motherboard while the PC is asleep - jiggle the switch end and motherboard end to see if something is loose and wakes up the PC. Also check your BIOS to see if it's set to turn on the PC after a power outage.

Also confirm that if you wake it up normally, the powercfg command output does not include power button in the output.

See Wake Source in Windows 10 I wonder if the Event Viewer can provide any additional useful information for you.

This used to happen to me all the time with Windows 7.
I don't know about this problem in Win 10 ...
But I would check the device manager and look for any devices that are set to "allow this device to wake the computer" in its Power Management tab.

I put this together for something that I was doing but you might find the information it produces [ text file on the desktop ] helpful. It contains the items that wake the PC etc etc . . .

    I hope this helps!
