Passing on used PC to new owner

    Windows 10 Version 20H2 PC:

I wish to pass on my PC, when I get my new one, to a new owner.
The new owner in question is my dear lady wife!
I do not wish to remove anything but my own persononal files.
    There are no security issues.
I want to retain all the currently installed software.
She needs to be able to sign in using her own Microsoft Account (which she aldready has.)
What is the way to proceed?
Do I create a new account for her on the PC then remove my own?

Thank you in advance for any useful suggestions.

I would setup a new local user user account in your wife's name. After she logs in she can sign in to her Microsoft account. If you decide to remove your account make sure your wife's account is a administrator account first.

My daughter took my newish laptop for school work. Lighter and faster than a 'gaming' laptop I gave her she said

Anyway I left my account on it so I could maintain it, updates, backups and security etc., and created her account. Left everything as is. You could always copy any personal data from your account to an external drive and delete off your account on the PC if need be.

    Thank you for your help.

Would anyone know what would become of the Microsoft Office 2016 software which is installed on this PC?
It is currently associated with my own Microsoft Account - could that association be transferred to the new user?

I left my Microsoft account on with office 2016 installed and my daughter still uses this on her account.
