"Some settings are hidden or managed by your Organization"

    Hey
Anyone else who got Win 10 - HOME and lately got "Some settings are hidden or managed by your Organization"

I have tried EEEEEVERYthing in all the FAQ and Microsoft users support forums. Apart from the grey out feature, everything works.
I've spoken to Microsoft support who keeps talking about "business" account. I have non. Its home. Only thing I have added, is Office 365 (home, 1 person Subscription).

Anyone know if this is a bug and/or how I get rid of it? Please =)

Did you mess around with the group policy or registry?

    Hello @Kurnn,

    Did you apply a Tweak?

If you changed a Group Policy setting then that would account for the option being greyed out. A REG change will not normally cause an option being greyed out.

YEP! I use tweaks from "Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.5 and Fixwin 10.1"

Microsoft support helped me reset the policys and all the "managed by your organization" went away.
The damn thing came back just a few days later. No tweak, but I used Glary Utilities 5 to fix registry etc. Might be that.

Win 10 home does not have a policy tool, no. But it also protects you from locking your discs with bitlocker, cant cast your device and remote connections cant be abused because the home version lacks the code for it .

So, using tweaks makes win 10 think my system is managed? I never had this before in 6 years. It started like 1 month or 2 ago when I bought Office 365 subscription and when 20H2 got released.
You can reset policies on home. You just have to use powershell to do it.

This is how I solved it btw.

Open powershell or cmd as admin.
Copy and paste all this at once. Reboot. Fixed.

    reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies" /f
    reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost" /f
    reg delete "HKCU\Software\Policies" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Policies" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsStore\WindowsUpdate" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Policies" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Policies" /f

I did test the above out on one of my custom installs. For me, I found that it wasn't really the best tool for the job.

The best customization Tweaks are available here at TenForums and Winaero. Just my personal point of view.

Glary Utilities is very good for things like that, although a REG backup [ AND System Image ] is a MUST before performing ANY changes or restructuring of the Registry.

    I hope this helps.

It's quite simple once you set aside the misleading text of that message which has been discussed many many times on the forum (feel free to search the forum for that message).

If you - by any means - make a change to the registry equivalent to that which can be made by group policy, then you may well see that message which shows a change of that type has been made.

The message is only meaningful where you do have a company admin, and makes you, like many others, think Big Brother is watching you and think your PC should be yours and you don't have an organisation.

It's an MS oversight to word it like that for Home users especially. Same for private Pro users.
