    General server (security) question

This is not a specific Win10 subject, but I do trust this group to provide quick and clear answers. I'm running Win10/Pro, Ver 1909.

Beginning this morning, I get this message popping-up on my screen every 5 to 10 minutes.

Not sure where it's coming from, or for that matter what it pertains to. Never saw it before today; I click 'No' each time to remove it, but it continues to reappear after a period. All system apps, email, etc. seem to function normally.

Anyone know what this is? Many thanks.

    UPDATE:

I think I've found it. This may well involve email and, in particular, my work account that's polled for new mail every 5 minutes. That account gives trouble occasionally, though this is the first time I have seen a scary message. Probably in keeping with Halloween.

Thanks for the fast service, Samuria. I noticed that the message popped up each time I got new email, and narrowed it down from there to my company's account, which was not accumulating new mail. So next time I clicked 'Yes', got a slug of company mail, and now the message no longer appears. May have had something to do with the time change last night; that account is a Microsoft 365 one, prone to 'funnies' now and then.

Yes, you're right! It is very likely that it has to do with the Time Change. I remember, in the past, when I changed settings around on devices, I also changed the time. When I did that, so many different things with the internet kept saying that certificates, and settings, cannot be verified correctly. It's a security measure to check to make sure that computers that connect to other computers are real, and are up to date. "Scammer" computers are all messed up with different dates and times, etc.

So make sure that your computer automatically adjusted the clock to the correct time today.

Thanks, pepanee; yes the computer was one of very few things in the house that did NOT require any action on my part. Still can't figure out how to reset that clock radio!

    You’re welcome =)
Hope you figure out how to change the time on your clock radio.
If I were you, search for the make and model number of it on the internet, and maybe you can find instructions on how to change it =)

Nonsense! I am an electronics professional. If I can't figure it out, into the trash it goes! (Actually it is figureoutable, just requires re-learning twice a year. I just have to offer disrespect to unintuitive appliances.)

Lol I agree. Gotta relearn the things that you barely use, and badly designed technology is lame.

And thanks for the reputation. The little helpful duckie is here to help everyone fix everything! =D
