Is it possible to create a fake thumbnail for a file

I created a zip file where I have hidden some passwords. I renamed the zip file to SomePhoto.jpg and put it among some pictures so nobody would mess with it:

The only problem is that the picture has no thumbnail like the other pictures in the folder. Is there a way to put a fake thumbnail on the SomePhoto.jpg?

    Thanks in advance.

Another method shown in the link below. Using the command copy /b file.jpg file.zip result.jpg ( copy/b as you know is for copying binary data, in this case combining first the .jpg and then the .zip so the jpg header is usable for thumbnails and viewing).

How To Hide Files In a JPG Picture

Although the method shown in the in the link, wherby simply renaming the .jpg to .zip and being able to open it with explorer staright away didn't work for me, I was able to just double click on it using 7-zip, and the files inside the encrypted zip could be extracted easily from the result.jpg after passing on the password. Also, the result.jpg shows up as a thumbnail, and was viewable with image viewers.

I just use a plain txt file that is encrypted. I run a batch file that requests the key then it decrypts it and shows it to me in notepad. When I close notepad it encrypts the file again.

Ideally I'd like to use the fingerprint reader on my laptop or face recognition as the access key to decrypt the file but that's a bit beyond my abilities so far. I'm sure I can buy something that would do it for me but what's the fun in that?
