    wierd issue with deleted files

This doesn't happen every time i delete a file, but it happens pretty often. When i delete a file from the desktop to the recycle bin sometimes later on i will see it on the desktop again. Then i try and delete it i get a message saying try again and it never lets me. But the reason is it;s NOT the file i deleted but basically a ghost of it because if i open the recycle bin there it is. It;s both in the bin AND on the desktop, tho like i said the one on the desktop is more of less just a ghost of the real file. If i drag the one in the bin back onto the desktop the other one disappears and then i can delete the one i just restore and this time it's gone with no "ghost" of it on the desktop. What is this wackiness?

I've noted it here and under these circumstances:

Desktop icon of moved or deleted file reappears after scale change

    Issue persists under 20H2.

Could be that you have Desktop backed up on Onedrive?

    That was quick.
Anything else that would protect your Desktop? Syncing settings?

Press F5 on your Desktop or right-click & select Refresh.
    - The file is being deleted but the visuals are not being updated with that information.
    - This problem has been around since WinXP if not earlier and just comes & goes whenever it feels like it.
    - There is no solution. Don't waste your life trying the plethora of claimed solutions you can find online.
    - I find that rebooting once a day reduces occurrences [but does not eliminate them completely].
