    Surface Laptop 3 - loud fan noise?


    Bought a Surface laptop 3 back in January (15" AMD Ryzen. 8GB Memory. 128GB SSD. Platinum). I only use it for home office stuff (light surfing online, light MS Office word/excel, paying bills, etc). Its been a great laptop until a month ago when started buzzing like a bee hive. Sounds like the motor is spinning hard, but I don't feel any heat. I just did another windows update and that didn't fix it. Anyone heard of this issue? I see several threads on the Microsoft community forums but as usual no answers from Microsoft. I paid a lot of money for this laptop and don't expect it to sound like a lawnmower.

    Hello @BRKING,
    I'd look into the process for filing a warranty claim if it sounds like an expensive lawnmower now .

    Be sure to keep hair, dust, blankets, etc away from the air intakes/exhausts - lap pads are great.
