One drive has a problem starting after I replaced and added SSDs

I filled all my USB ports (almost) with devices so that my USB connected Epson sx430w would not take a useful drive letter. Also this variable windows drive assignment really screws with my monitoring software (HWiNFO).

However the problem is in screenshot. I have a backup of my OS on my RAID10, also on another wd elements which doesn't have this problem. I have spent time checking my programs work and games load, which was on the other clone. I think this is the only one I let windows update do its thing on, and its broken onedrive. Unbelievable. Version 2004, installed from media I created with slipsteamed raid drivers. I've had to roll them back several times because later drivers simply block the drive temperatures for no other benefit.

Also, you cannot uninstall one drive at least not via microsoft approved methods.

You can block both
- specific updates
- and driver updates for a specific device

However it is supposed to be the case that driver updates are now not automatically provided and installed by Windows.

Plug-in drives can be assigned a fixed drive letter using Disk Management. So long as you only allocate 1 per drive letter they will always be assigned the chosen letter.
Never considered or looked at whether that might work for printers though. I have assigned my DVD drive to Z: in the past.

Actually the drivers have not been from windows update but I was just testing them from the AMD website. I think there is something strange going on because I deleted all entries (as far as I know) to the HWiNFO registry key: I exported, edited and (after getting conflicts on my LCD screen where two labels were on top of each other) deleted the whole key before merging with the registry the edited backup settings generated when u click backup setting in HWiNFO. Only to find that using the same driver I was missing the info for one drive.

So it could be a thing where you install fresh with the latest driver and HWiFO will play nice. I think its more a question for their forums now.

Ah just read the title, yes I have notifications that I must sign in to my onedrive vault (which I have done multiple times on multiple subsequent reboots) but the screenshot function is working (which saves messing with ms paint).
