Single vs double arrows on lower left of Windows desktop icons

    Windows 10 Pro version:

    Version 2004 Build 19041.572

What is the difference between these two arrows? One is a double 'arrow' or pointers. The other one is a large curved arrow. Here's what they look like.

    Thank you.

hi the bottom one in picture indicates it's a shortcut to the original file. not sure at this time what the double arrows are.

not sure but maybe they changed the double arrows differently when a file is compressed. was 2 arrows facing each other on top right of icon.

    Thank you.

Both are Microsoft Word documents. They are both not compressed and both documents are located in the Desktop folder.

Yes, I use onedrive. But both these files are not in onedrive. I think files involving onedrive and syncing show "two-circling" arrows.

I read the link. Thank you.

Yes, I do have Norton from Comcast but I've never used the backup functionality of the Norton program. If it is caused by the Norton program both files should have the '>>' pointers on the icons.
