Cannot drag desktop Icons- highliting to cut/copy and paste Not workin

Hi,
I cannot drag the desktop Icons. all I get is the context menu pop up. The icons stay put..I unchecked the Auto Align & auto Arrange. Also when highliting many photos/files to copy or cut.When right clicking the highliter (Blue) disappears.So copy/Cut and paste is not working as it should either. I did a complete reinstall of Windows. I also have had the keyboard replaced.. (Faulty)This was happening before the replacement.All drivers are updated.. Also tried hitting Escape key. Ran Malware scan with Malwarebyte..Nothing that I have tried,works. Any sggestions would be helpful.Thanks.

Could be that you have Tablet mode enabled? Click on Action center, and disable it.

Thanks for your reply. No.I have already checked that. I think I have found the problem. It`s Windows Version 1909. There are a lot of users out there having the same problem. So I am now updating to Version 2020.Hope that fixes it. Here the real problem Developers at Microsoft have university degrees, enabling them to screw up one`s P.C! They know it all. Experts??

I have found the problem. it`s the Synaptics Touchpad electrical circuit.I will send it away for repairs. and, thank you for your kindness.
