    @clayto,
    Thanks for the update. So BIOS/CMOS time is definitely correctly and we can rule out coin battery as cause of the problem from what I understand so far.

    Check Event Viewer for any Windows Time service errors etc:

    event viewer under the Applications and Services Log\Microsoft\Windows\Time-Service\Operational

    Run: Tuneup.bat - Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

    Hi clayto, have you tried stopping and restarting Windows Time in Services.msc? BTW, mine is set to manual startup and I have no problems.

    Win key+R for run
    type services.msc + enter
    locate and double-click on Windows Time to open the properties dialogue box.

    If the tablet is only a month old ... don't you have a warranty?

    I think we have found the source of the problem (unless it is only a symptom) but not how to correct it. Following up links above I came across "If you have issues with Windows Time service, you need to make sure that Startup type of the service is set to Automatic." I found it in Services where Startup is set to Manual (Trigger) not to Automatic. Unfortunately I have not been able to change it. In the right click list of options, selecting Automatic does not work, Manual remains selected. I have re-booted several times.

    So now I need advice on what is causing this and how to correct it please.

    Try right-click Windows Time, select properties, the pull-down to select automatic.
    BTW, mine is set to manual and doesn't cause me any grief.
    Have you stopped and restarted the process yet?

    That article seems to be erroneous - we have our set to manual trigger too.

    PS I have stopped and re-started Windows Time in Services and the options in Settings many times.

    Zbook. I think I (may?) have downloaded the batch file ---- I have not been able to copy / paste it here to confirm but it is listed as "Unconfirmed 257166.crdownload". However, I have not been able to do anything with it. Right clicking / double clicking only produces the 'What do you want to do with this file' response and directs me to the Store to find an app. Is it the right file?

    Bat files typically prompt AV software.

    I apologise, but I do not understand what this means. I have re-read it but am no clearer.
