    Windows Crashes

    Version: 2004 OS Build: 19041.508
Hi everyone I'm completely stuck & need some help to narrow a problem down.

If I use X-Plane flight simulator everything is fine. If I use Microsoft Flight Simulator & try to load a flight, not only does the sim crash but the whole computer. On occasion, it will also knock out my monitor as well. I have to unplug & plug back in the power to use it again.

I have tested the RAM and they passed. I downloaded a program to test my Graphics card, it went well, no crashes. The card is running at around 70-80c when working hard.

What else should I be looking at? I have run out of ideas. If it was just the sim crashing to desktop I wouldn't be asking here, I realise that. Something else is going on! Thanks everyone

Hi, there are various reports of different kinds of crashes with 2004 that some have experienced at some point, including BSODs. Not everyone experiences these of course.

With which build was the simulator last compatible on this PC?
Is it fully up to date? What version are you using?
Have you checked for compatibility reports and issues on the relevant site?

Does Reliability History give any information on the crashes?
If so,then lines 1 and2 ,in the ---view tech details---should provide search material.
