Welcome to TenForums, Remi.Hi,
My name is Remi Cornwall and I've been using TenForums for years and finally decided to contribute to it.
I've got pretty good knowledge on XP (I know, we shouldn't use it now), Windows 7, Windows 10 (notice how I skipped Vista and Windows 8?) and UNIX, though this isn't a UNIX forum. I also programme in C/C++, Java, Python, Matlab/Octave, some Perl, PHP etc. etc. Don't ask me about writing device drivers though - that's really technical stuff and I'd have to take time to learn it properly.
My first post concerned a really frustrating problem with random audio glitches in Windows 10 that I trawled around about 20-30 forums and couldn't find an answer, so like the Remmington guy, I bought the company, no, I fixed it myself. I don't think anyone has come up with such a technique.
Here's my first post and it has general applicability to keeping errant drivers from affecting the real-time performance of your computer by isolating them to one core, whilst putting your stuff on the other cores:
Solution to Audio glitches/How to Ensure General Real-time Performance
Hope you find it useful,
Remi Cornwall

Welcome to TenForums, Brian.I've been a member of the Seven Forum for some years and I have benefited from the wise advice of members there. I have become a user of Linux - often in dual-boot with Win7.
Now that Win 7 has reached end-of-life, I'm looking at getting to grips with Win10. I shall hope for useful advice and support from this forum as I do so!
