Hello. My name is Wes and my user name is arlen.
I have Windows 10 Home and am afraid to update to 20H2 because of fear of file loss in my Office 365 Outlook email client.
    Welcome to TenForums, Wes.

I had Windows 10 Home on this dual boot system until I upgraded to Pro. I haven't had any problem with losing my Microsoft Office installations when upgrading. I'm on my Insider Preview Build 21343 and still have Microsoft 365. Outlook keeps all my messages every time I update, whether it be my Production or Insider version.

    Greetings Earth People

First a little (well maybe more than a little) history...
I was born in Burbank California, and fermented in the Napa Valley, joined the Air Force to stay out of the Army in 1967 so yes I served during the Vietnam war in Thailand and Vietnam. I met a girl in San Antonio during my electronics training, came back 3 year later and married her. I've had over 41 different jobs (at last count) in several fields, beginning with pinball machine repair (at 9 years old) while traveling during the summers with my aunt and uncles penny arcade with carnivals in the Midwest and Canada.

My last W2 job was with a major insurance company where I worked myself up to being a programmer, and then an Instructional Systems Developer. The high point of that career was developing and teaching a 14 week course to make maintenance programmers out of accountants and other insurance staff. The results of that project was rated as the most successful group of programmer trainees the company ever had. I'm old school, and only have an associates degree, yet worked with masters degree people who were my references and would state I could run circles around them. The low point was being deemed incompetent and having my position "eliminated" in 2003 and forcing me to retire 4 years ahead of my schedule, and cutting my retirement in half (along with 3,000+ others over 2 years).

I still play with programming to do repetitive tasks on my desktop. The most recent was to have a script to log me into 3 different sites and check for Covid Vaccine status for the wife and I. The results of that was that I was able to get both of us in at the same time/date/location for our first shot this last Wednesday. I'm by no means an expert, but I have done some HTML, VBA, and macro work. One of my current interests is creating a pixel light display for the house as I can afford to. So by Christmas I intend to have a star in a Texas outline with 100 lights and different patterns for the two elements.
