    File Explorer annoyance

I have 2 W10 pro systems as listed in my systems. One of them (laptop) has a annoying problem when using File Explorer. The issue is when selecting a sub directory in the left window, and then moving the cursor to the right window does not scroll the file list. If you scroll, the left window scrolls but not the right pane where the cursor is present. The Desktop system does not have this problem.

I have insured that both systems have the same folder settings. My question is then is there another setting someplace that could effect this issue ?

    Thanks

Hi, if you create a new user for test purposes and log in as that user, do you see the same behaviour?

Hi, I'm guessing that means under the new user, scrolling works as expected.

It's an odd symptom. Try logging in as the original user, first in Safe Mode, then after a clean boot (Google or see tutorial if unsure how).

In both, check again. If all is well after a clean boot, that gives you a useful clue.

Of course, could well be something else...

Might be this. Scrolling of active/inactive windows on hover.

I've found the scroll feature in the right panel works if first clicking a folder or file in the right panel first to give the mouse focus as to where to work. Other, third-party, file managers, notably the dual panel and quad panel versions, have the same process.

FWIW I have scrolling inactive windows on, and functional, and after clicking a folder in the Nav. pane then moving to the right pane, scrolling is fine.

Yet it shouldn't have that effect... 2004 bug?
