Wifi, Battery, Sound, Notification, and Time icons not responding.

Hi all! The said icons are not responding when i try to bring them up. I recently plugged in a floppy reader in this same Win10 laptop which is the one with the issue and whenever i would try to open the device through file explorer it would take forever to open and become unresponsive. When i resolved to canceling explorer from opening the reader the taskbar would go haywire and disappear for a second then those icons i mentioned earlier would pop back up in the taskbar. This happened a few times since i was trying to see if i could get the file explorer to open the reader. Now the aforementioned icons are not responding. I tried restarting file explorer without luck. Do i have to resolve to restore with an image?

    Hi, simply to try:
Reset Notification Area Icons in Windows 10

    Possibly similar:
Windows system icons in the notification area have stopped working
Start button & right clicking on taskbar icons suddenly does not work
    - last two posts

Diagnostic step: if you create a new user and log in as that user do you see the same thing?

Possible option- use a System Restore point

Missing: like so many posters - the forum prompted you to specify your full build number so we don't have to keep asking.
