    Settings Wont open!!

    Hello,

    Windows 10 v2004 x64

I click on settings and nothing happens

How am I going to update my Windows next patch Tuesday?

I don't think I blocked it from my firewall, but what is the name of the service just to check?

Last changes I did in my computer were

    OPTION SIX
    Uninstall Apps in Windows 10

    OPTION EIGHT
    Uninstall Apps in Windows 10

    Finally this
I did not add this account

You can re-register Settings - I don't know how many apps you've attempted to remove.

You could use a System restore point, or perform an in-place upgrade repair install.

And of course, if you've been following the oh so oft-repeated advice to use disk imaging regularly and routinely, you can restore a recent disk image if nothing else works.

Assuming Windows Update is working, then Windows Update would handle - yes- updates, unless, say, you had Pro and updates set to Notify which requires the use of Settings.

You don't have to manually scan for updates.

Open an elevated command prompt and run sfc /scannow to see if there's any corruption.

My restore point is OFF, I have removed all apps including store
I did not notice about this issue, my Last Macrium Reflect back up has the same problem! and I delete previous backups (No more space left in my External HDD)

I do not have Pro my Windows is Home Edition

    I will try that option...
If you uninstalled an app for all user accounts, then this will not reinstall the app.
And I have uninstalled all apps for all user accounts, a long time ago.

    Including Cortana and Microsoft Store

Maybe creating a new admin account via elevated command prompt, not restricting access to folders and drives?

    Thanks

Again - you can re-register Settings. Tutorial post #5

Suggest you need to take forum advice on using imaging.

System Restore is great when it works.

These two can help you avoiding having to seek help.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
I have backup CBS.log in a different path
