    @Mikey89 I understand your frustration on the 2004 3-hour update time-frame.
    Unfortunately, we cannot see your PC in order to explain why.
    Personally, I’m happy to know you had a successful outcome.

    I have a used Dell Inspiron 580 desktop with a 1 TB HDD that was originally Windows7, now on Windows 10 Home. I updated to 2004 a few weeks after it was ready on June 1 via WU. Fortunately, it took about 52 minutes and it runs fine.

    I also have a refurbished HP EliteBook 8540w laptop originally Windows 7 Pro, now on Windows 10 Pro version 1909.
    It has a 320 GB HDD. It’s ready for 2004 via WU. I’ll be doing that a few weeks after Sep 8 Patch Tuesday.
    Yeah it least everything is running as it should, so far i've not had any issues with 2004. Regarding my PC you can check it out in the "My Computer" section just below my profile pic. It's not a beast or anything but it definetly does the job when it comes to gaming.

    Also for the others who posted since yesterday : THX GUYS for your info on this, good to know.

    I know, but it went to completion in the end, so I didn't investigate further. :)

    Look at his specs. He made it, but that poor thing was chugging it's brains out! Just an example of an older slower machine can get thru it.

    It's the first time an upgrade has taken so long - all the past ones have taken an hour or two.

    Don't get that many Upgrades, last would have been 19H2 last Fall. Are you confusing those with something else, like Patch Tuesday processing?

    I meant the twice yearly upgrades ( since about 4 years back ).
