Is Microsoft saying not to install it or is it just not being offered? I have Desktops and Notebooks dating back 8 to 12 years and doing fine with it but most were not automatically offered, some were Check for updates and a couple were installed from the Bootable USB Thumb drive due to other issues.

Probably because the GT630 dates back to about 2006.
I built a computer around that period using GT 610 and not long after the change from Win7 to Win 10,experienced innumerable freezes, the culprit being---nvlddmkm---.
Permanent fix was to build an up-to-date machine.
Old technology married to new Systems doesn't work very well, similar to humans.

If your pre-2004 system works fine, why install 2004? You're asking for trouble. And it seems that MS knows that, hence their warning.

OTOH, I am being offered the update ... and I'm blocking it.
Because it offers some risk of incompatibility, whilst offering no benefits at all. None.
As has been said in other threads here: cute new icons are not an upgrade.

Come to think of it ... I haven't upgraded my bread toaster is nearly ten years. Yet the bread comes out nicely toasted anyway.
As my dad used to say: If it aint broken, don't fix it.

If you did decide to go down this route, I would advise installing v1909 as it is definitely more stable than v2004!

That's what my Dad used to say to me, very true in fact.

The GT 630M dates from 2012.
I have a GT 740M in my Laptop which is just about compatible with the latest Windows version 2004. Had to go back to 1909 but that was a DVD drive and software incompatibility, has been sorted since.
Since then 2 driver updates for the Intel iGPU, and a SD Card reader.

There is so little in version 2004 then the update can just sit there for the moment, you may get other driver updates in the mean time so the MS message may change.
